Yes, it's true I will be selling this gorgeous 2019 limited edition NRING Giulia Quadrifoglio on Cars & Bids starting Monday, June 14th, 2021.  This is a very rare car with only 55 of the Giulia NRINGs produced for the US market, along with 55 of Alfa's SUV's  known as the Stelvio.  Check out the Cars & Bids auction that runs for seven days ending on Monday, June 21st to follow the action.

Here's an email I sent to Alfa Romeo in my quest to be able to buy one.:

Sure to be a classic and a prized collectible, you are looking at car #07 of 55. I was lucky to be able to get car #7 which happens to correspond with Alfa Romeo Formula 1 racing driver Kimi Raikkonen's number. This is a chance to own a piece of Alfa Romeo history in a long line of racing legend going back to 1910.  The Quadrifoglio, or four leaf clover has only been allowed to adorne Alfa Romeo's fastest and highest performance vehicles, and this Circuito Grey beauty displays it proudly.

The NRING Edition was created by Alfa Romeo to pay tribute to it breaking the track record for any four door sedan to lap the Nurburgring when it was introduced in late 2016.   A mind blowing 7:32 lap places it among the fastest sports cars, and this is a four door!  It has been called a four door Ferrari for good reason, becaue it is powered by a 2.9 liter, twin turbo Ferrari derived engine and its suspension was designed in conjunction with Ferrari engineers. Even It's aerodynamics were developed in Ferrari's wind tunnel.  At 505 HP, 443 lb-ft of Torque and a top speed of 191 MPH, this is one special car.

And before I end this brief announcement,  here's a video talking about the Alfa Romeo GTV that has become a part of Alfa's history and at the end of the clip a graph showing how valuable these cars are and hinting the potential for appreciation for this NRING that you can buy and enjoy now!

And here' a picture of my 1972 GTV.   The legend continues!

And here's the new history in the making:

I hope you check out the auction and look for my update soon from all the action in two weeks when I travel to Watkins Glen International for the IMSA Sahleen Six Hours of the Glen, brought to you by Carcamerastory publisher, Paul Ziegler.

Back In Business- And A New Honda Accord

Watch Cars & Bids In the Coming Week-  You Can Bid On This Alfa!

It is car #07 of only 55 produced for North America- The NRING Giulia Quadrifoglio.

It's time to start traveling again after a 16 month hiatus because of Covid-19.  I have not posted anything rercently and apologize for my absence.  Just 10 days ago I returned from a 4 week stay in Upstate New York where I got a workout on the 'family farm'.   I exercised by cutting down a large dead pine tree, rototilled our garden, removed brush and debris from a long winter and got to run through 15 gallons of gas in the Cub Cadet lawn tractor as I mowed and mowed and then mowed some more lawn.

However I did find time to trade in my trusty 2015 Chevy Impala for a beautiful new Honda Accord from Garber Honda in Henrietta, NY.  They treated me right and I've always admired the Accord since the major refresh in 2018.  My ride has a detuned version of the Civic Type R turbo engine with 252 horses that makes the Accord go like squirt. (0-60mph in 5.6 seconds)  It is mated to a 10 speed transmission that shifts like butter and is always in the right gear for the situation.  The Honda engineers performed a litte magic in that department.

So my next adventure is photographing the Sahleen Six Hours at The Glen at the end of June, followed by something very special at the Glen the weekend of July 9-11th.   The return of F1 cars of yore and assorted historic races.  I can't wait for that!    Watch for my photos after these two race weekends.

In the neantime, heres some pics of Alfa wheels compared to the Honda wheels on my new ride.  What do you think?    I personally like all of them.    Also- I'm posting a warm start video of my Alfa Romeo Quad with exhaust valves open.   Tun up the volume and get ready for racing..
