Porsche Post

While waiting for the next race, I  thought I'd post up this teaser.    I'm featuring my 2014 Cayman that I used for a ' Porsche in the Park ' photo shoot today.  The weather was perfect here in Florida with  clear air, low humidity and a nice sapphire blue sky making this a great day for pictures.

I personally think the 981 version of the Cayman is the best looking Porsche ever built. Of course, I'm biased since that's what I drive, but to quote Ted West from the April 2013 Panorama magazine, "The new Cayman is just beautiful. Even if you are an ordained 911 priest, you'll admit it's pretty okay.   And if you're not, you just might say it's the prettiest street Porsche ever. "

But first here's a video on the top 5 rarest production Porsches in existence compliments of du Pont Registry.

But below is one that I think holds its own in the beauty pageant!  What do you think?

Exciting Rolex 24 At Daytona

The end to the Rolex 24 hour race at Daytona was full of excitement, if not controversy as Ricky Taylor of Wayne Taylor Racing made a bold move to pass the Mustang Sampling Cadillac with minutes to go.  See the video below to judge for yourself if a penalty should have been imposed.  I say no.  That's racing and to me Ricky Taylor showed that he is a true racer at heart.  This reminds me of the spirit and style of the F1 driver Ayrton Senna.  I suggest you see the attached video of Jackie Stewart interviewing Senna several years ago and you will see what I mean.

Ricky- you are out there to win and you did what you had to. You are a true racer and deserving of the win!

In the GT Le Mans class the armada of Ford GT's from Chip Ganassi Racing proved too much for the all new Porsche 911 RSR factory team of two cars- but not by much.  After 24 hours of racing the 911 car was only 3 seconds behind. Very respectable for an all new car.

This is the first of two posts showing some of the action through my photos.  My camera is ready for the next race at Sebring in March in what looks like a season long battle for the IMSA title!
